The Adults’ Wellness Centre is an extension of The Children’s Wellness Centre, which was established in London in 2018 and in Tunbridge Wells in 2021. In response to growing demand from clients seeking support for those aged 18 and over, we expanded our services to include adult provision.

We are conveniently located in central Tunbridge Wells, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, shops, and restaurants.

While we do not have on-site parking, Crescent Road car park is only a short walk away. Many clients also use Meadow Road or Victoria car parks, which are approximately five minutes from the clinic.

There are four steps leading to our front door; however, we do have a ramp available which can be put in place if needed.

Our therapy rooms are located across two floors. If you are unable to use stairs, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your appointment is scheduled in a ground floor room.

If you have any additional access needs – whether physical, sensory, or related to communication – please feel free to let us know ahead of your appointment. We will always do our best to make reasonable adjustments to support your comfort.

When you arrive, please use the intercom system to enter the building. If you arrive early, you are welcome to sit in our waiting area, where you will find a selection of books and magazines.

Our clinic has been designed to provide a calm, comfortable, and private environment, with a warm and considered aesthetic to help you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.

We have several well-appointed therapy rooms, and your clinician will invite you in at the time of your appointment. Each room offers a private and welcoming space, with natural light and carefully selected furnishings to support a relaxed and comfortable experience.

Yes, we take a neuroaffirmative approach across all of our services. This means we recognise and respect neurological differences, such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, as natural variations in how people think, feel, and experience the world.

Our work is not about ‘fixing’ or changing who you are, but about developing understanding, supporting your individual needs, and helping you to navigate life in a way that feels more manageable and aligned with you. We aim to create a respectful, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where your experiences are listened to and valued.

This approach is also reflected in our clinic environment. We strive to offer calm, low-stimulation spaces with natural light, comfortable seating, and a considered layout. We are mindful of sensory sensitivities and aim to create an environment that feels predictable, private, and welcoming.

If there is anything that would help you feel more comfortable – whether that’s lighting, seating, breaks, or communication preferences – please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

No, we are an independent private clinic. This allows us to offer timely access to assessments and therapeutic support without NHS waiting times.

We do, however, receive referrals and recommendations from NHS services where appropriate. We can also work alongside NHS services if you are accessing support through them.

While many GPs do recommend patients to us, you do not need a GP referral to access our services. You are welcome to self-refer and contact us directly to arrange an appointment.

We do not need to liaise with your GP in order to provide therapy or assessment.

Our assessments are carried out by highly qualified and registered clinicians using evidence-based tools and are widely recognised by employers, educational institutions, and many healthcare providers. However, acceptance can vary depending on the organisation, so we recommend checking with the relevant service if you are unsure.

You can book an appointment by contacting us directly via email, phone, or our website enquiry form. We will guide you through the next steps and help you arrange the most appropriate service.

We are also happy to offer a free, no-obligation call to talk through our process. If you would prefer not to speak on the phone, we can arrange your booking via email instead.

Our clinic specialises in adult services. However, we also offer support through our Children’s Clinic. Please contact us for more information, or visit www.childrenswellnesscentre.co.uk
to view our services for those under 18.

We operate two separate clinics based on age, as assessment processes differ once an individual turns 18. For some services, we also have different clinicians depending on their adult or child specialisms.

Yes, all sessions are confidential. There are some legal and ethical exceptions (for example, if there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others), which will be explained to you at the start of your work with us.

It is completely understandable to feel anxious. Our clinicians aim to create a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. You are welcome to ask questions, take breaks if needed, and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Our Clinic Co-ordinator is also happy to arrange a call ahead of your appointment if you have any questions or would like to talk things through in advance.

To help you feel more familiar with the setting, we suggest browsing our online gallery, video tour, and team page prior to attending.

Yes, you are welcome to bring someone with you if it feels helpful. For some assessments, we may also invite an ‘informant’ to provide additional background information.

For counselling sessions, individuals would usually attend alone, unless it is a couples session.

Yes, our work is informed by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, alongside current evidence-based practice. We use recognised assessment tools and follow established clinical frameworks to ensure our assessments are thorough, consistent, and aligned with best practice standards.

Our assessment services are delivered face-to-face to ensure a clinically robust process. However, feedback sessions can be conducted remotely, so you do not need to travel in again.

Some of our therapeutic services, such as neurodiversity coaching, is available online.

Our fees vary depending on the service, with clear pricing provided on each page. We do not have any hidden costs and are committed to being fully transparent before you book. The price listed is the fee you will pay. Our fees page can be accessed here

Yes, we aim to offer flexible payment options where possible.

For assessment services, a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment and begin the pre-assessment preparation process. This is typically 50% of the total assessment fee; however, if this presents difficulty, we are happy to discuss a payment plan.

The remaining balance can be paid in instalments but must be settled in full by the date of your assessment. If you feel you may need a longer period to spread the cost, we recommend booking your assessment further in advance to allow time for this.

For therapy sessions, payments are usually made on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on the service.

We do not currently accept direct insurance payments, and all services are self-funded. If you require invoices or supporting documentation for reimbursement, we can provide these on request. Many of our clients have successfully claimed costs back; however, this is subject to your insurance provider’s discretion.
