Illness Policy

The health and wellbeing of all clients, staff and visitors is of paramount importance at The Adults’ Wellness Centre. To maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment, we ask that adults attending the Centre do not attend appointments if they are experiencing a contagious or potentially contagious illness.

If a Clinical Practitioner is unwell and unable to attend work, sessions may be cancelled or postponed. Where a session has been paid for in advance, a full refund or alternative appointment will be offered.
The Centre operates a strict 48-hour cancellation policy, which also applies to cancellations due to illness. While we understand that illness can arise unexpectedly, cancellation charges may still apply where insufficient notice is given, in order to ensure the sustainability of the service.

To protect staff, clients and visitors, we ask that no individual attends the Centre if they are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, including but not limited to fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, or acute respiratory symptoms. This includes Covid-19 and other infectious conditions. Staff and Clinical Practitioners are expected to follow the same guidance.
If a client becomes unwell during a session, the Clinical Practitioner will ensure the individual is supported appropriately. Medical advice will be sought if necessary and emergency services contacted where urgent medical attention is required.

Clients are asked to keep their Clinical Practitioner informed of any relevant changes to their health, including medical conditions, allergies, medications, or other factors that may affect their engagement with therapy or assessment.

This policy will be reviewed as required, or if a situation occurs which necessitates any amendment.
